The
vast majority of photos in these albums are standardized to 6"in height.
The width of the photos varies depending on how the original image
was cropped.
Some may need to be printed with a 'landscape' setting on your printer.
The
6" size 'standardization' is a compromise between a pleasingly large photo
when viewed on the monitor and excessive download and email time.
All the images are provided at 72 dpi .. also known as
'pixels/in'.
72 dpi is the optimum size for emailing and also works well when
printed.
If you (or the program you use to print photos) enlarge
the photos beyond their original size, you will likely encounter
jagged edged images ... commonly called pixilation or 'the jaggies'.
Keep in mind that some image printing programs will attempt to
automatically resize a photo to fill an 8x10 space - thereby creating pixilation
- UNLESS you override the setting in your program controls.
Lightness,
darkness, contrast, etc., will likely have to be adjusted by you based
on the characteristics of your printer and the paper you are using in
order to get optimum results.
